Blood Moon Rising, is the second book in the Blood Moon Series by Lainie Suzanne. What can I say, I was hooked on this new, to me reading genre, since I first read Blood Moon. Who knew vampires could be so hot!!! When Blood Moon ended, I was like, "How could you leave me like this!!! I need to know what was to become of Keres!!", the vengeful, spiteful, b@#ch, of a sister of Marco, who tired to destroy Melania, Marco's newly found love. SOOOO, when Blood Moon Rising was released, I was like finally, I will get to know what became of Keres!! Well, who could have imagined, the amount of joy I would feel, when I found out, not only, was I going to find out Keres, but get to read more about Marco and Melania's story!!!SO let's talk about Marco and Melania first!! I fell in love with this couple in Blood Moon. Marco's wooing of Melania, as part of Keres evil plot for revenge against Melania, made my heart beat faster and panties melt in Blood Moon. Well, in Blood Moon Rising, Marco sealed that deal for me that he is the total package. His devotion to his newly turned and mated love, Melania, is the thing that a great love story is made of, then there is Melania!! Melania and her newly turned powers, WOW!!!! I want some of what she is made of now!!!!!
NOW for he scheming, underhand, vengeful, demon who is Keres!! Keres, is so much more than the spiteful, brokenhearted girl we met in Blood Moon. Her persona of being an empty shell of a person, with no emotion is one that is hard to break, but with the strong and commanding presence of Lord Sebastian the real Keres is broken down and exposed!! Keres, didn't get stab in the heart with a wooden stake and turn to dust for her indiscretions, but there was definitely feeling the burning heat of one Lord Sebastian. The one man that could bring her to her knees (in more than one way) then pieced her back together again. Sebastian and Keres, make one hell of a power couple in the world of the undead!!
You would think with all this I would be totally happy and satisfied with the book, but NO!! WHAT ABOUT AMON!!!! Yes, that's right Lainie, I need to know more about the new player in town Amon!!!
If you want one hell of a hot read with more twists and turns than you thought were possible, then Blood Moon Rising is a definite read for you!!! A 5 stars all the way read for me!!!!!

When I started this book I really didn't know what to expect but what I got was everything I hoped for and more.
Firstly if you haven't read Blood Moon please do so, while the two books aren't completely linked, this one does follow on and certain comments will be lost on you if you haven't read book 1.
But when you sink your teeth in (yes I said it) this book is amazing. While it gives you a whole new couple to focus on and live completely it doesn't forget our past loves and allows their story to develop and grow in an organic nature that really allows the story yo stay true to itself.
A short quick read that has me so intrigued as to what's going yo cone out of this authors mind next
Blood Moon Rising is book two in the series and after the ending of book 1, I was looking forward to this book to find out what happened next for the main characters Keres, Marco and Melania. This book does NOT disappoint, we learn Keres fate and punishment for her transgressions (not all of them are bad), We get to follow Melania and Marco as Melania deals with her transformation and some really hot and steamy side effects. We are introduced to a new surprise character, that I hope to find more about in the next book (there better be a next book lol). We learn more about the sexy hot mysterious coven leader Lord Sebastian. This book has action, a little suspense and a whole lot of Hotness! IF you read book 1 then this is a must read
This book picks up where the last left off. Lord Sebastian is admistering Keres punishment for all the ways she wronged Melaina and her brother Marco. All the while this is happening Lord Sebastian and Keres are dancing around the attraction they have always had, but denied for each other. Tension and and passion rise between these two until finally it explodes into an passionate affair they have to figure out how to navigate. We also get to see Marco and Melaina again in this story, and see how they adapt to Melaina being a newbie vampire. There is action, love, romance, and lots of hot erotic scenes between these two couples throughout the book. In between all of this you also have Marco dealing with his own repercussions of his actions with changing Melaina. Lots of great BDSM scenes with a vampiric flare. I loved this book and highly recommend it for any paranormal fanatics next read.
I have been impatiently waiting for this book since I read The End in Blood Moon and let me say it's been well worth the wait! The story of Kres is not what I expected it would be. When we last met her in Blood Moon, she was not exactly likeable. Enter Sebastian... he is just the Vampire to soothe her Savage beast and he does with sexy style.
As in all books from Lainie Suzanne, she seamlessly melds the characters from Blood Moon into this book. Marco and Melania,'s story continues and I loved the changes in Melania. Without giving away too much of the plotline I will just say the growth of this character rocked my world.
While this is obviously fantasy, the story and characters are very relatable and endearing. Ms. Suzanne has a way with her writing of drawning me in from page one, not putting it down til The End and always leaving me wanting more!
This book has a bit of it all, captivating writing, action, history and oh so hot sex scenes. By the time I finished the book I was as heated as the characters in the book, in need of my own release ;-) Blood Moon Series may just be my favorite Vampire series, knocking out even the ones made famous by Ann Rice.
I, without hesitation,give this book 5 stars.
